Spitzer Gallery 1.0-8

On January 30th, 2020, NASA's Spitzer Space Telescope marked the completion of its mission, concluding an era of significant contributions to our understanding of the universe.

The Spitzer Gallery serves as a comprehensive repository of images captured by the telescope throughout its operational lifetime. This platform offers various features designed to enhance the user experience:

• Access to the latest Spitzer images from the NASA Image Archive
• Updates from Spitzer, JPL, and NASA media feeds
• Search functionality for both images and media content
• Full-screen viewing options for Spitzer images, complete with pan and zoom capabilities
• Sharing options to platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Messages, E-Mail, among others
• Ability to save images directly to one's photo library
• Link sharing capabilities on social media and messaging platforms
• Auto adjustment for dark/light mode in accordance with iOS settings

The Spitzer Space Telescope represented the culmination of NASA's Great Observatories Program, which comprised four distinct space-based observatories, each analyzing the universe through different wavelengths. Alongside Spitzer were the Hubble Space Telescope (HST), which operates in visible light, the Compton Gamma-Ray Observatory (CGRO), and the Chandra X-Ray Observatory (CXO). Designed principally for infrared detection, Spitzer focused on capturing heat radiation, unveiling new insights into cosmic phenomena.
